How can Cloudera Manager control and monitor existing flume service?

New Contributor

We tried to install flume agent service thur cloudera manager 'Add Role instance' and it works perfectly. However we finding the way to install flume ourself thur other automation process and then 'import' at CM so CM only handle the startup/monitoring purpose on flume agent.

I cannot find something like 'Add existing host' at CM and I found the Tarball included within CDH is different with that one download from flume offical site. We are ok that use CDH version flume tarball for installation, but whats the steps and folder I need to caution in order to import at CM later? Is this a supported way for setup? Thanks a lot !
