How can I get TezJobMonitor log in remote server?

Explorer

I'm wondering about Hive On Tez execution engine.

In my remote web terminal, executed hive query.

HDP 2.5.0.0

Hive Execution Engine TEZ.

I just get TezJobMonitor's monitorExecution log in remote client server not terminal.

How can I print that logs?

Is that possible to get TezClient class?

Hi Peter,

Can you please clarify what you mean by " TezJobMonitor's monitorExecution log"? TezJobMonitor, based on a quick google seach, seems to be the API used by tez to keep track of the job execution. I don't think it exposes any logs for consumption.

In order to debug your job/application, you can always refer to the YARN app logs and Hive logs. Please refer to the following link for more info.

Thanks

That's in the hive log. By default it's located at /tmp/<username>/hive.log. It may be changed via config 'hive.log.dir'. Once you get hive.log, search by query id and you will get it.
