I am using express editon.
The following ad appears.
" Try Cloudera Enterprise Data Hub editon for 60 days. "
I keep using express editon, so I do not want to see the above ads, what should I do?
I'm not aware of a way to remove it but I'm asking around to get a definate answer.
I found it in the code... no screen shot needed now.
From what I see, there is no way to disable that promotional banner. It is hard-coded to display if you don't have a license installed and have not started a trial. It only displays if you are a full administrator so it should not appear if you are logged into CM as another type of user.
Is the banner annoying you or is there a functional problem it is causing as well?
We tested internally and found that in Cloudera Manager 5.13, the banner can be made to disappear by:
1 - accepting the trial
2 - downgrading to express license
This downgrade license feature was introduced in CM 5.13, so these steps won't work in previous releases.
Yet another follow-up :-).
Try the following:
1 - Start the Trial
2 - End the Trial
This should revert to Express and I think that will also stop the "trial" banner from appearing.
