How do I revert to a retained older fsimage_ file in namenode safely?

How do I revert to a retained older fsimage_ file in namenode safely?

Contributor

My hortonworks cluster was hacked, that resulted in them deleting all files on HDFS. I'm now trying to recover the data. Looking at the image below I noticed that before the delete I have an older fsimage file in namenode. I don't care about losing some of the files that were added after this. How do I tell namenode to use this older fsimage, and ensure the delete edits are not reapplied once the NN is back up ?

I believe the delete edits are in the edits_00 file at 7.07am so i would want to revert to the fsimage_ file at 1.07am.

any help much appreciated
