Hi,

As far as I know, We can configure one active Namenode and multiple standby name nodes. For HA there is Secondary namenode not necessarily be present in cluster.

Thanks,

thanks Satish, how can i push multiple standby nodes into a single HA namespace, because by default only one primary and one secondary name node can be specified in Cloudera manager. and the same can be converted to HA setup.

So is there any feasibilty to add new nodes as standby name nodes to it.

Hello hadoopwipro,

Major yardstick is data. You should be looking at amount of data, throughput required & type of data and component planned to put-in.

With your description, you are still in demo stage. If yes then you can choose to reduce the number of servers i.e. start with 2 masters & 10 data (this is also quite robust starter kit).

Thanks.
