How to add mount point to hdfs?

How to add mount point to hdfs?

Contributor

I have seen this answer regarding mounting folder / mount point. I have added network drive like 10.9.3.4/testdir as mount point /hdfs. I have created folder /hdfs/hadoopdir with 777 access. Now, I added /hdfs/hadoopdir to dfs.datanode.data.dir but it has following in datanode logs.

Invalid dfs.datanode.data.dir /hdfs/hadoopdir

@Eon kitex have you change the owner of /hdfs/hadoopdir to hdfs:hadoop?

So, if you add NFS drive as mount point you need to have same uid for user and group. Then it will work fine.
