How to change hdfs-site.xml

I am configuring Kerberos on CDH. I need to change hdfs-site.xml from

//////////

  <property>

    <name>dfs.namenode.kerberos.principal</name>

    <value>hdfs/_HOST@FBDLSEC.LOCAL</value>

  </property>

  <property>

    <name>dfs.datanode.kerberos.principal</name>

    <value>hdfs/_HOST@FBDLSEC.LOCAL</value>

  </property>

////////////

To

  <property>

    <name>dfs.namenode.kerberos.principal</name>

    <value>hdfs/vIsilon-sec@FBDLSEC.LOCAL</value>

  </property>

  <property>

    <name>dfs.datanode.kerberos.principal</name>

    <value>hdfs/vIsilon-sec@FBDLSEC.LOCAL</value>

  </property>

I can not find the items dfs.namenode.kerberos.principal, dfs.datanode.kerberos.principal  on CM –hdfs web page. And change /etc/Hadoop/conf just change client configuration, no effect.

Rising Star
To enable Kerberos in your CM managed CDH cluster, please follow the
document below:

http://www.cloudera.com/content/www/en-us/documentation/enterprise/latest/topics/cm_sg_authenticatio...

As you've already noticed, files under /etc take effect only on the client
programs.
