How to duplicate cluster

How to duplicate cluster

New Contributor

Hi, I have a cluster with 3 node (1 master and 2 slaves) After setup and before start using it I did backup of cluster.

Now (without delete current cluster) i would start a new one based on previous (clear) backup.

For this i MUST change server name and ip of all nodes......and the cluster name

I would use this

https://community.hortonworks.com/content/supportkb/48815/how-to-change-ip-address-for-a-datanode.ht...

But is possible to do with all nodes?

What is best way to setup and start this cloned cluster?

I thought of such a thing: 1) shutdown all nodes of clusetr 2) powerup cloned cluster (that start with same name ed ip of previous) 3) change hostname ad ip of all nodes one by one 4) change clustername 5) restart now also old clusetr Is this the right way to proceed?
