How to force Cloudera to use private DNS hostnames AWS EC2 instances in public subnet

New Contributor

For the performance reasons we decided to run Cloudera Cluster in Public Subnet.

We are only using internal IP addressation which is consistent over reboots.

However Cloudera assigns for many services (ie. OOZIE) public DNS name which breaks down things, when it comes to issue strict SSL certificates, as each reboot this hostname is diffrent and causes many troubles.

How can I point Cloudera to use only private DNS hostnames in public subnet?

The CDH is 5.12

Thank you
