How to validate that Oozie SLA is in effect?

Explorer

Hi Folks,

A rather simple question, in trying to narrow down the problem. Once I setup SLA extension for Oozie and restart it, how can I validate that Oozie SLA functionality is operational?

To setup SLA extension, I do [1]:

<property>
<name>oozie.services.ext</name>
<value>
org.apache.oozie.service.EventHandlerService,
org.apache.oozie.sla.service.SLAService
</value>
</property>
<property>
<name>oozie.service.EventHandlerService.event.listeners</name>
<value>
org.apache.oozie.sla.listener.SLAJobEventListener,
org.apache.oozie.sla.listener.SLAEmailEventListener
</value>
</property>

Thanking in advance

I also note that oozie.services.ext has NO values in oozie-default.xml where the Oozie service is running , despite Oozie configuration in Cloudera Manager (CM) shows it.

 <property>
<name>oozie.services.ext</name>
<value> </value>
<description>
To add/replace services defined in 'oozie.services' with custom implementations.
Class names must be separated by commas.
</description>
</property>

Would I be correct in assuming that SLA is not enabled!
