Hue Presto autocomplete not working 3.10.0

New Contributor

I'm using Hue notebooks Presto quering through the JDBC driver.

Presto autcomplete isn't working most of the time(works in a small part of time).

the errors I see on the times it doesn't work are:

decorators   ERROR    error running <function autocomplete at 0x7fcdeef3db18>

Traceback (most recent call last):

  File "/usr/lib/hue/desktop/libs/notebook/src/notebook/", line 81, in decorator

    autocomplete_data = get_api(request, snippet).autocomplete(snippet, database, table, column, nested)

  File "/usr/lib/hue/desktop/libs/notebook/src/notebook/connectors/", line 47, in decorator

    raise QueryError(message)

Traceback (most recent call last):

    from spark.conf import LIVY_SERVER_SESSION_KIND

Any ideas?

It is probably a problem with the Presto data returned for the describe

Does it happen all the time on the same table?

Thank you Romain!

No, when it doesn't work it doesn't work for all tables (and when it does work occasionally, it works for all)...

Do you use it via EMR or your custom Hue? (EMR people could help
investigate, we mostly do testing with Impala/Hive for now)

It's EMR, I'll contact their support team.

is there any way to connect Presto query into the query editor tab instead of using it as a notebook?

Looks for the name of the Presto snippet in in Notebook

Then just replace hive by its name in
