Hue service check in command line

Rising Star

I am looking for command line tools that able to run service checks on hue to ensure all the access to hive. Hdfs, impala etc is working fine. I saw some tool available under hue's parcel directory. Will that be useful for that?. Thanks. Sathish

Thanks,

CUrrently there is not a way to do a CLI check of the services that Hue accesses.  The closest option would be to do something like:

USER=cconner

PASSWORD=password

curl -i -c /tmp/${USER}_cookie.txt -d "username=${USER}&password=${PASSWORD}" "http://<hue_server>:<hue_port>/accounts/login/"

curl -i -b /tmp/${USER}_cookie.txt "http://<hue_server>:<hue_port>/about/

Do the above as super user and you get the config page results.

Also checking the page:

/desktop/debug/is_alive

is a quick way to check if Hue itself is good
