maria_dev is a read-only user on Ambari and doesn't have admin privileges. Please check this post to find out how to login as admin https://community.hortonworks.com/questions/27705/hortonworks-sandbox-dont-have-the-action-option-in... After that you will be able to manage your cluster, and change Tez container size.

The reason you are not able to change anything in there is you are logged in as maria_dev user which is readonly for sandbox 2.4

Please refer below link to solve this

Re: I could not change the tez container size on Azure

Here are the full instructions, and a screenshot from "localhost:8888".

  1. Login into your Sandbox VM, using for example Putty or Cygwin prompt on Windows or iTerm. There is also a built-in command-line client available at http://localhost:4200. In case of a command-line client type "ssh -p2222 root@localhost", the initial password is "hadoop". The system will ask you to change your password, so do it and select a new one. Here is a screenshot, if you use the CLI at localhost:4200

  2. After you login as root to your VM, type "ambari-admin-password-reset" and set your new Ambari admin's password.
  3. Open Ambari at http://localhost:8080 and login as admin, and the password set in Step 2.
  4. Enjoy playing with the Sandbox!

And here is a screenshot from "http://localhost:8888". As you can see, there are also options to access Atlas, Zeppelin, Falcon, and Ranger.
