Is there a way to directly import metadata from RDBMS sources to Atlas without using Hive

You can use the Atlas REST API /api/atlas/v2/entity/bulk/classification endpoint. It reads JSON, so if you can translate your RDBMS data into the Atlas REST API JSON format, that would be how I would do it.

You can find a working example for this REST API endpoint in this post of me under "Adding a tag to an entity":

@Ayub Khan I noticed your answer in https://community.hortonworks.com/questions/54661/populate-metadata-repository-from-rdbms-in-apache.... , where you shared links that suggest we move data into hive and then import it into atlas using a sqoop bridge.

But is there a way to import metadata directly from a RDBMS source into Apache Atlas?
