I try to install HDP 2.5.3 and i want to use public repository.
i have this warning : Attention: Please make sure all repository URLs are valid before proceeding
Make sure there are no special characters in the URL. Sometimes when you copy over the url's you might get few extra characters. Copy it over to some text editor and view the invisible characters to see if there are any special characters.
Also make sure that the repo url is valid i.e, you are not getting something like this when trying to open it in a browser:
<Error> <Code>NoSuchKey</Code> <Message>The specified key does not exist.</Message> <Key>HDP/centos6/2.x/updates/18.104.22.168</Key> <RequestId>420B0229FC3E2846</RequestId> <HostId> QMGWV5wYaavLQYZjs6DCsEo0rxmoh4c+LkEf1xPL2uGoupqAr08XOqUF4I5cILPdZtQ8FNHxFZs= </HostId> </Error>
Usually we see this kind of message in ambari when the repository is not accessible from ambari host.
Attention: Please make sure all repository URLs are valid before proceeding
So first please check if you can access/download the HDP.repo file from Ambari host or not? If not then you will need to first check for N/W issues. Or if there is any N/W proxy configured at your end that is restricting the access to the hdp.repo file from ambari host.
