Installing falcon on windows

Installing falcon on windows

New Contributor

Hi,

I have hdp 2.3 installed and running in a windows server 2012 virtualbox machine. This is a basic setting with no additional components. I am now trying to install Apache Falcon. I followed the instructions here https://falcon.apache.org/InstallationSteps.html but mvn clean install command falls when trying to execute the build-oozie.sh file. In fact, I do not have any cmd script in the falcon directory.

Which are the possible solutions for this issue? Can I run the msi installer for falcon only? I have tried that but no success.

Thanks!

Hi,

finally I installed falcon using the msi file. Everything is working except the falcon service. Its log directory is empty. I do not see any needed configuration in the hdp for windows docs. Running the service from command prompt is OK but it inmediatelly stops again... What can I do? Please help.

Thank you
