Is CDH6.3.3+ still Cloudera's 100% open source platform distribution?

Hi

I'm confused that CDH 6.3.3+ would require purchasing a subscription, which sounds contradictory to "100% open source platform distribution".

Are there open-source ways to build CDH 6.3.3+?

Long story short every Cloudera bits is behind Paywall now. You need a valid subscription for that Except you can Try the CDP latest version but not any Older version.
