Is KUDU is available for Production version

New Contributor

Hi,

We are exploring the Kudu to leverage our solution .

we are open to upgrade the cluster CDH5.10.

We are existed to use Kudu in our architecture and we are expecting to reduce the many hand shake after intrducing the Kudu.

Can you confirm us, Is Kudu latest version available for Production environment.

Does Cloudera supports Kudu as part of other Cloudera products.

If your answer is no to production then When I can expect the production ready version.

Regards,

Ram.

Also, if you are planning an upgrade, Cloudera 5.11 was just released and includes many Kudu-related improvements, including support for authentication and TLS: http://blog.cloudera.com/blog/2017/04/cloudera-enterprise-5-11-is-now-available/

Yes, Kudu is available and recommended for production use cases. You'll have to contact Cloudera sales about the second part of your question.
