Is it possible to apply a range to column-names in Apache Phoenix ?

Is it possible to apply a range to column-names in Apache Phoenix ?

Say I have an HBase table where I store data such that that the row-key is SomeIdentifier+ date, and the key-value pair is <timestamp, value>. This makes for a wide column-family table. I plan to query the table for values of timestamp in a particular range. The problem is similar to this: SQL query on column name ranges.

Is it possible to do so in Apache Phoenix 4.4+ ? If not, where should I check if any development is in progress, and report this issue if not ?
