Is it possible to remove ENCRYPTION => 'aes' on a column family via the hbase shell?

Contributor

I'm currently looking for a method where I can remove ENCRYPTION => 'aes' from a column family which previously had it enabled. I tried setting it to 'NONE' and '' but neither seemed to work.

If there isn't a direct method to do this, I did come across a method that suggested taking a snapshot and then copying the snapshot to a new table, but this does not seem possible, given that the `clone_snapshot` command will invariably recreate a new table with the previous tables schema intact.

Is there any method available to achieve what I want?
