@Chandler Heath just added a section called 'Stopping/Terminating demo kit' as part of the demokit instructions

To avoid incurring any AWS charges, we recommend you terminate the VM instance. You can always bring up a fresh demokit VM when its needed again.

Thank you Ali. For installation on other platforms (Option 2) what is the proper restart procedure? Once the demo instance is shut down in Ambari and brought back up, a couple of the services do not re-start using a start all namely NiFI and Solr. When trying to re-start them manually they error out.

@Chandler Heath, ensure you are bringing them up in correct order by using the Actions > "Start All".

Otherwise if you try to start, for example, Solr before Zookeeper it will not come up
