Kerberos ODBC impersonizations

Kerberos ODBC impersonizations

New Contributor

Hi friends,

I have question about hadoop security.

We sucessfully installed Keberos, MIT Kerberos on Windows Server and configured ODBC impala driver. We tested it from Microsoft SQL via Linked Server to Hadoop. But problem is, that only one user can be defined for Kerberos via ODBC driver. Our goal is run parallel queries from diffrent users via linked server - ODBC. It is ever possible or we should focus on LDAP security?

Thanks in advance for your reply

Using LDAP authentication is much easier to manage JDBC/ODBC clients with Impala (and HiveServer2 for that matter).  Each Impala daemon can support both authentication mechanisms at the same time, so it is very easy for clients to access it.

Thanks Ben for your reply

we use ODBC with authentification name/password(technical account) and in Microsoft linked server we map users in security tab
