Livy server password error when starting

Livy server password error when starting

Explorer

Hello community!

I've a CDH 5.7 cluster with spark on yarn and want to use spark from Hue, I have a MariaDB as external database for Hue.

I've set HUE_CONF_DIR to cloudera hue configuration directory in /run

But when trying to start livy server with /opt/cloudera/parcels/CDH/lib/hue/build/env/bin/hue livy_server I have the following error:

Error: Password not present

I also have tried to run myself the script to see what is giving it to livy server, and this happen:

[root@node01 bigdata]# /run/cloudera-scm-agent/process/761-hue-HUE_SERVER/altscript.sh sec-5-password
Error: Password not present

Do exist any way to pass the password to the livy server or something?

I have seen this thread https://community.cloudera.com/t5/Cloudera-Manager-Installation/Problem-setting-up-Hue-Spark-noteboo... but the user doesn't say how it got solved.

Thank you in advance!

Re: Livy server password error when starting

We recommend to use the Livy from the upstream project livy.io now
