Log into cloudera manager by passing username and password through URL

New Contributor

I would like to create one read only access user and create some hyperlinks that will take us to the UI directly without prompting for username and password.

Example: ( Which is not working)

Not possible for security reasons. SAML authentication would help but seems too much of an administrative burden for this use case. A potential option for you may be to save the login credentials in the browser (like https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95606?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en) and be automatically logged in when you access CM.
