We tried to run our application on Yarn with both Slider and as custom Yarn application (used Spring single project Yarn application). Result behaviour was the same: Application started on one container of one node then container stopped; application stopped.
It is a web service application with some background operations. We want it to run on cluster, managed by Yarn.
Do you have any idea of keeping the application running? Could it be any issue with my cluster or installation?
Any comments appreciated.
@Sedat Kestepe For the Slider use-case you will need to ensure that the script you hook up to call your application runs in foreground and not background. That could be one reason why the containers keep failing as it thinks your application ended. If that doesn't help you will need to provide more details for us to help you debug further.
