Minimum "hardware" configuration for A HA Cloudera Cluster

Minimum "hardware" configuration for A HA Cloudera Cluster

New Contributor

The question can be split into two parts:

1. What is the minimum "hardware" requirement for an HA enabled Cloudera Cluster and or non-HA Cluster

assume we can use very powerful AWS VMs, how many nodes we need to set the cluster with basic components/services? Also, how many roles such as journal node, resource manager,  we should create?

2. Actually, we have an HA cluster of 7 nodes. We want to reduce the node number from 7 to 4.

In the middle of the process, I found there was regulations of minimum of three journalnodes for quorum storage, etc. That's why I ask the first question.

Would you also provide brief steps on how to do it?

Thanks.
