Earlier in the cluster of 5 nodes. I had hive stack (hiveServer2, hive metastore server(mysql as db), webHCat Server), installed on a single node(say A). And the hive gateway on rest all. Also I had zookepeer services installed in 3 other nodes(say B,C,D).
Now I tried to install another hive stack using oracle as meta store db. This time I altered the hive.metastore.warehouse.dir and hive.metastore.port. I insalled it in node E. And it shares the rest of the services (hdfs, mapreduce and zookeeper). Also I replaced the gateway service of earlier hive service with the new one at node E.
Now, when I hit the hive service at node E, it still shows the same old databases and tables. And when I create any new table, the data goes under the hive.metastore.warehouse.dir of old service.
Can you please help me understand how can I get the two instances running within the same cluster and maintain a different set of databases and tables.
