NFS Permission Error

NFS Permission Error

Started nfs service on a node and successfully mounted hdfs '/' directory  on a windows machine but on opening it gives permission error.

"You do not have permission to access "ip\dir" Contact your network administrator to request access."

 

any help??

Hi @salman,

 

 

1) How are you opening this?

   Command line?

   Cloudera Manager?

   External Service? 

 

2) Do you know the user that has been created the directory and the user that need permission?

Mounted hdfs '/' directory as a drive on windows,

now it shows as a separate drive and its connection status is green(connected),

now when i tries to open it through file browser it give permission error.

 

Yes created and trying to open it from the same user (account) on windows.

You do not have permission to access \\10.9.166.6\!\

How does the exclamation mark get in there? 

What did you set in Allowed Hosts and Privileges?
