Need the ability to export config settings from one CSD and import them into a new CSD

Use case: Constant re-installing of CSD and Parcel for service upgrades, cannot save values in CSD as defaults.

Need the ability to export the settings from one CSD and import them into a new CSD. We are not able to store the defaults in the CSD directly, we are looking for a way to export them from the old version of the service into something like an XML file or something. When the new CSD is loaded, instead of copy/pasting every setting into the wizard installer, we would just run a script or it would load automatically.

Hi,

Why do you need to delete the service and re-create it? If you don't change the service type or parameter names, then upgrading / re-installing the CSD should just cause the same configs to be applied to the new CSD.

Thanks,
Darren

What is the proper way to do an upgrade instead of deleting and re-creating it?  Are you referring to using the "generation" tag?
