One of the RegionServer doesn't receive regions anymore

I'm using Hbase 0.94.8.

I restarted that specific RS and the HMaster but without any luck. The logs doesn't contain any errors.

Any ideas? Thanks

Hi Tlapusan,

  Could you please take a look at your master UI and let me know if you see any regions stuck in transition?  If so, can you please post a link to a screen shot of it?  Also, can you bounce the RS and then send pastebin to the RS logs for us as well?

Hi Kevin,

I was out of office the last two days...

In the end I solved the issue.

There was not regions in transitions in the master UI and the numberOfOnlineRegion was 0 for that RS.

The problem was with the settings from /etc/hosts. 

Somehow in the fist line, that with 127.0.0.1, appeard the DNS of that RS. I deleted it and now its working.
