Password in Minifi config.yml File

New Contributor

I am setting up a minifi (mini-nifi) data flow from a laptop at a client's location to our main server via an SFTP process. I can successfully send test data across the internet, but I have noticed that the password for our destination SFTP server is stored in the clear inside the config.yml file, and we do not want this password to be visiable to the client. Is there any way we can hide this password?

Re: Password in Minifi config.yml File

Would it be an option to use public/private key authentication instead of passwords?

I have similar issue, but I have to encrypt keystore password for SSL context. NiFi toolkit works only with NiFi instance base on nifi.properties file. Can I somehow:

1. encrypt keystore password in MiNiFi config.yml

2. copy encypted configuration from NiFi to NiFi Properties Overrides config.yml section or somewhere else.
