Hi, I am quite surprised Pig does not seem to be in the scope of the CDH-410 (Developer) certification exam, could you guys confirm?
Many thanks

Pig is in scope, in fact we're beta'ing some new Pig items starting next month.
Our web page says: This exam focuses on engineering data solutions in MapReduce and understanding the Hadoop ecosystem (including Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Oozie, Crunch, and Flume). Candidates who successfully pass CCD–410 are awarded the Cloudera Certified Hadoop Developer (CCDH) credential.
We don't have specific objectives in the sub-sections at this time b/c we haven't determined which Pig items/objectives will make the final socred exam and we EOL'd the older Pig items because we found they shared online.

Hi Brad,
As the exam objective explicitly calls out Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Oozie, Crunch, and Flume in Hadoop Ecosystem, so how about Hbase and Avro as those are also very closely related technologies.
Thanks Again

Anything in the ecosystem is fair game from an understanding level but we don't into HBase or Avro/file format specifics in developer. We feel like anyone doing serious development work understands what these are and how they work, what they're best for or not so they figure in but it's not central to the test.

Thanks Brad, it makes sense.
