Possible to control what directories in HDFS NFS gateway are actually shared?

Possible to control what directories in HDFS NFS gateway are actually shared?

Expert Contributor

Following the docs for using NFS gateway (https://docs.cloudera.com/HDPDocuments/HDP3/HDP-3.1.4/data-storage/content/access_hdfs_from_the_nfs_...), it seems like the only way to use NFS gateway is to share the entire HDFS via NFS. Is there a way to more finely control the dirs that get shared? Doing a "clush -ab cat /etc/exports" to check the nfs dirs shared on all the cluster nodes shows nothing, so not sure were to look for more detail on how HDFS dirs are getting shared here.

Anyone know if this is possible and how to do?
