Post upgrade

Post upgrade

I recently upgraded from HDP 2.3 to 2.4. After few days of upgrade if i run the follwing command, i see the

$hdp-select versions

2.3.2.0-2800

2.4.0.0-169

Still the 2.3 version is available on the machine. do i need to remove that manually. OR is there a process in ambari to remove it automatically.

Even when i use the rest api to read the configurations, i do see the same. any thoughts would be great

Go into Ambari admin section and look at options to deregister older versions.

Deregistration, however, doesn't remove the old HDP version from the machine. That needs to be done manually.
