I am trying to import a table from mySQL to hdfs using sqoop. I am trying to run this import through oozie and it keeps getting stuck at:

2017-06-14 10:02:40,877 [communication thread] INFO org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskAttemptListenerImpl - Progress of TaskAttempt attempt_1497418875581_0028_m_000000_0 is : 1.0

By the way, I am able to connect to the database and also list the tables in my mysql Database but somehow not able to import them.

Also, vCPU and memory both are available to be used by the job as this is the first and only job I am trying to run on my cluster.

In logs, I see that the task got in running state last and there is no improvement after this

Task Transitioned from SCHEDULED to RUNNING

I have tried to keep it running and wait for somethign to happen. I had it running for 24 hours and it remained there with same info message:

Progress of TaskAttempt attempt_1497418875581_0028_m_000000_0 is : 1.0

over and over

I have tried running through command line and it works fine there. Could I get some help on this please.

Followng it getting into running state, these are the logs
