Quick start VM disk size growing too fast after starting CM (5.10)

New Contributor

Friends,

I have exploring the quick start vm (5.10) and i found the size of the VM is growing very fast. I observerd the size of the VM got doubled within few mins after starting the Cloudera Manager enterprise. i found  /tmp is the one growing very aggresively that the other folders. Wondering is there a way to control the disk splace.

PS : current VMDK file size is 55 GB.

Thanks,

Bala

Just adding my two cents...

Although I'm not seeing the disk size increase significantly, I'm seeing ALOT of disk activity.  It's enough to cause the Quick Start VM to freeze.  I know that Cloudera Manager requires additional resources, but I've allocated 10 Gig of RAM to the VM and it resides on a separate drive than the OS, so I wasn't expecting so many issues.
