Ranger login id issue

Hi,
I work with CDP runtime 7.0.3 and I use Ranger

In ranger log I get this

Login Unsuccessful:admin2020 | Ip Address:10.10.10.198 | Bad Credentials

 but the shown login id is my password, I get the same  on ranger UI

then I not able to synchronize users. Could you help me ?

Can you please share what backend DB you used for Ranger and its version? How many users are affected?

Hi @EricL,

I use Postgresql 9.2.24-2.el7_7.   rangerusersync is affected.

Thanks for the update. PostgreSQL 9 should be OK, though we recommend 10 in CDP 7, please see below:

I guess this is an external user? Are all external users affected?

How is Ranger UserSync affected? Have you checked the UserSync log to see any obvious errors?

Thanks, no, I'm getting this issue with the internal user, rangersyncuser. this error message occurs when synchronizing users. I assume the rangersyncuser is not authenticated because the login is used as the password and the password is used as the login.

Were you guys able to figure out the issue. I am also facing the exact issue.rangersyncuser is not authenticated because the login is used as the password and the password is used as the login.

I tried updating the password but that also didn't help. 

 

Can you please help.
