Reading encrypted data from Hive or Impala

Reading encrypted data from Hive or Impala

Hello Friends,

I wonder if there is any way to read the data which is encrypted in Hive/Impala schemas. The data is encrypted but it needs to be made available to read by data scientists

Well, that's a good question. We are not encrypting any data , the data coming from the source systems itself is encrypted already. I am just trying to see if there is any provision in impala/hive to decrypt. Sounds the question is odd because decryption depends encryption method, but don't want take a chance to miss if there is any way/provision
