Recover or reinstall stack after restoring ambari database from backup.

New Contributor

I recently restored my ambari database from the backup I created prior to doing an upgrade. I was encountering issues with ambari being non functional after installing HDP 3.1 and upgrading the MPack for HDF. Restoring the database from backup has restored most of the functionality of ambari. However the current version of HDP I have setup is 3.1 and many of the components will not start anymore. For example mapreduce, yarn, and datanodes. The backup was created when the installed version of HDP was 2.6.5, not 3.1.

Is there a recommended path to reinstalling the stack so that ambari properly manages the services, or a way to update the database?
