For those interested in Impala integration with SAP HANA, I’ve managed to use the third party
‘Progress | DataDirect’ Impala ODBC driver to work with SAP HANA.
NOTE: This isn’t officially supported yet by SAP but hopefully it will be in the not too distant future.
This enables IMPALA tables to be created as Virtual tables in HANA, and IMPALA queries to be executed from HANA.
