Running ansible code from github on AWS returns Failed to connect to the host via ssh

The github repo (Ansible-hortonworks) has been updated a week ago (end of july). Earlier I was able to launch a cluster on AWS with no problem. Now, Im trying the same and in *prepare_nodes phase* I get the following error:

PLAY [Create the Ansible helper variables for all nodes] ****************************************************************************************************

TASK [Check if /usr/bin/python exists] **********************************************************************************************************************
fatal: [ec2-34-231-242-41.compute-1.amazonaws.com]: UNREACHABLE! => {"changed": false, "msg": "Failed to connect to the host via ssh: Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic).\r\n", "unreachable": true}
fatal: [ec2-34-200-224-101.compute-1.amazonaws.com]: UNREACHABLE! => {"changed": false, "msg": "Failed to connect to the host via ssh: Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic).\r\n", "unreachable": true}
        to retry, use: --limit @/home/centos/ansible-hortonworks/playbooks/prepare_nodes.retry

The instances Im using for master and datanode are not reachable. What went wrong with this updated repo? Am I missing a step?
