SQOOP Capacity Limitations

SQOOP Capacity Limitations

New Contributor

Hi,

I'm looking to migrate a large volume of data from Oracle into Hadoop and was told that SQOOP isn't normally used with volumes of data more than 10GB.  Does anyone know if this is correct or if there is a limitation for what SQOOP can handle (apologies, new to SQOOP).

Thanks

Leigh

While you wait for someone with more specific information, I thought I would get you started with a little reading material which may be of assistance.

From the Cloudera Engineering Blog:

The below one is a bit older (2014) but still might be of interest.
