Setting up CDH 5.8 in Virtualbox so I can use Hadoop from my Host system (Eclipse put to HDFS)

New Contributor

Dear all,

do you know a tutorial page how to setup my virtualbox and some configuration files in order to access my Hadoop services from my Windows host (Using Eclipse from host and putting files to HDFS on guest and access services in my host browser)

Thank you very much for an answer!

While I cannot answer all of your question, I can point you to some information on setting up the VM. We have a community knowledge article, How to setup Cloudera Quickstart Virtual Machine, that may be of some assistance. Beyond general setup there are some frequently run into issues outlined near the bottom that are specific to Windows machines.

I hope this helps.
