UCS2 Encoding issue

UCS2 Encoding issue

New Contributor

Hi @Matt Burgess

Just need your help on encoding issue:

My Database tables are in "UCS2" Encoding in MySQL.When I am loading data for CDC, facing an issue with String datatype column. For string column I am getting value ""\u0000t\u0000e\u0000s\u0000t\u00001"" and while inserting to table can see empty values.

I have tried following solution but didn't worked for me :

1) Modify bootstrap.conf and change java.arg.8=-Dfile.encoding=UCS2 or java.arg.8=-Dfile.encoding=UTF8

2) And also try to edit controller service: parameters in the connections string: useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=UTF8.
