Unable to format the namenode using Cloudera Manager CDH 5.5.1

I am using Cloudera Manager 5 and CDH 5.5.1 , I have a 3 node cluster ,  I am tryinf to format the name node using the UI , however I get the following error when I do so and the NameNode is not formatted.

 

Please help!

HI , I'm also facing same issue while restarting HDFS services. Below is the error log. how can we resolve this issue.

Can you provide more logs? Also this is new cluster or working before?

could you provide the namenode full log (

  • Role log file
  • Stdout
  • Stderr

meantime check if you had configured datanode data dir ,dfs.name.dir

 and its empty after you had formatted
