Unable to locate /var/lib/cloudbreak-deployment in Cloudbreak VM on Microsoft Azure

Explorer

I am unable to locate Cloudbreak home directory named /var/lib/cloudbreak-deployment after spinning the cloudbreak VM.

I am following Hortonworks documentation to set up VM on Microsost Azure.

Kindly let me know the path of cloudbreak home directory. According to documentation the path should be /var/lib/cloudbreak-deployment but i cannot see any directory name cloudbreak-deployment in /var/lib.

Hi,

As I see our template does not work at the moment. We use the official DockerExtension for Azure, but it fails now. Could you check please your resource group on azure portal? My template failed with the following error:

{
  "status": "Failed",
  "error": {
    "code": "ResourceDeploymentFailure",
    "message": "The resource operation completed with terminal provisioning state 'Failed'.",
    "details": [
      {
        "code": "VMExtensionProvisioningError",
        "message": "VM has reported a failure when processing extension 'DockerExtension'. Error message: \"Enable Docker failed: ERROR: executing /bin/sh [-c curl -sSL https://get.docker.com/ | sh] failed: exit status 1\"."
      }
    ]
  }
}

Another thing you can check:

less /var/log/azure/Microsoft.Azure.Extensions.DockerExtension/1.2.0/docker-extension.log

The OpenLogic CentOs, which is our base image, can't install anything from repository.

Docker install fails with the following error message:

Does this error needs to be addressed by Hortonworks Cloudbreak team?

I also got the same error as shown below

+ sh -c 'sleep 3; yum -y -q install docker-engine' http://olcentgbl.trafficmanager.net/openlogic/7/openlogic/x86_64/repodata/primary.xml.gz: [Errno -1] Metadata file does not match checksum Trying other mirror. http://olcentgbl.trafficmanager.net/openlogic/7/openlogic/x86_64/repodata/primary.xml.gz: [Errno -1] Metadata file does not match checksum Trying other mirror. One of the configured repositories failed (CentOS-7 - openlogic packages for x86_64), and yum doesn't have enough cached data to continue. At this point the only safe thing yum can do is fail. There are a few ways to work "fix" this:

Kindly let me know the resolution of this if any?

Do we have the same problem for RHEL as well?

Hi Peter,

Any update on this?

Thanks
