Hello,
I'm trying to setup Apache Kylin using Hortonworks sandbox environment (HDP 2.6)
Running
./check-env.sh
doesn't give me any error -
Retrieving hadoop conf dir... KYLIN_HOME is set to /root/apache-kylin-2.0.0-bin
Running
./kylin.sh start
doesn't give me any error -
Retrieving hadoop conf dir... KYLIN_HOME is set to /root/apache-kylin-2.0.0-bin Retrieving hive dependency... Retrieving hbase dependency... Retrieving hadoop conf dir... Retrieving kafka dependency... Retrieving Spark dependency... KYLIN_JVM_SETTINGS is -Xms1024M -Xmx4096M -Xss1024K -XX:MaxPermSize=128M -verbos e:gc -XX:+PrintGCDetails -XX:+PrintGCDateStamps -Xloggc:/root/apache-kylin-2.0.0 -bin/logs/kylin.gc.16916 -XX:+UseGCLogFileRotation -XX:NumberOfGCLogFiles=10 -XX :GCLogFileSize=64M A new Kylin instance is started by root. To stop it, run 'kylin.sh stop' Check the log at /root/apache-kylin-2.0.0-bin/logs/kylin.log Web UI is at http://<hostname>:7070/kylin
However, I get a "site cannot be reached" error when I try to access (http://sandbox.hortonworks.com:7070/kylin OR http://localhost:7070/kylin)
Any pointers would be helpful. I've also attached the kylin.log file for your reference.
Thanks in Advance!

You might have a closed port issue. The Sandbox, by default, comes with only certain ports open. There are some guides on how to add additional ports that you may want to follow to get port 7070 accessible for Kylin. Do follow the tutorials as just opening the port within the outer virtualization software is not enough, they need to be open within the internal Docker layer as well. From the link below, pick your VM software and click Next for the step by step instructions.

Great Thank you!
Adding port as described in your port forwarding tutorial worked like a charm

I think I'm running into the exact same issue, but when I go to the link I don't see any tutorials on how I can open the port or do port forwarding.
