Can someone let me know how can we upgrade an unmanaged CDH Cluster from 5.16 to 6.1?
I am not able to locate any docs to upgrade unmanaged cluster (running 5.16) via command line like the one below for 5.15
https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/5-15-x/topics/cdh_ig_upgrade_command_line.html
Can someone point me to the corresponding doc for 6.1?

@tuk ,
Starting with Cloudera Manager 6 and CDH6, any new clusters (either CDH5 or CDH6) installed without Cloudera Manager and not managed by Cloudera Manager are no longer be supported. Package-based installation of CDH and Cloudera Manager agent binaries is still supported, but clusters must be created, managed and upgraded using Cloudera Manager to be eligible for support. Existing unmanaged CDH5 clusters created prior to the release of Cloudera Manager 6 will continue to be supported until the End-Of-Life date of CDH5.
This explains why there is no such documentation available for CDH 6.x because it is expected that installations will occur using Cloudera Manager (i.e. CM-managed).
Hope this answers your query and apologies for not being able to get back to you earlier.

Thanks @SidAhuja .
Is there any way by which an Unmanaged 5.x cluster can move to CDH 6.x (may be adding it in Cloudera Manager and then moving to 6.x)?

Regarding your ask "Is there any way by which an Unmanaged 5.x cluster can move to CDH 6.x (may be adding it in Cloudera Manager and then moving to 6.x)?"
I am thinking that you can build a 1 node CM server and then add these present cluster by adding node in that CM. (Though I haven't tried this on packages)
