Use JanusGraph with the Cloudera Search SOLR as Indexing Backend

New Contributor

I am building a Knowledge Graph from a lot of text data. The Text also needs to be Searchable via Cloudera Search. I also want to store the documents in a “structured format” – Document, Sections, Paragraphs, Sentences etc, as a Directed Acyclic Graph. I plan to use JanusGraph for the Graph layer. Can I keep the Document DAG, in the same SOLR endpoint, that is used by Cloudera Search, via the Indexing Backend, in JanusGraph. This way I do not have to keep 2 copies of my Documents, one in SOLR & the other in JanusGraph-HBase, as SOLR will contain the single copy, both for SOLR powered search & Graph Traversal. Does that mean that I am not using JanusGraph’s HBase & only leveraging the SOLR indexing backend, for all of JanusGraph functionality?
