Using Amazon Redshift in place of HBASE in Cloudera

Explorer

Hello,

Is it possible to use Amazon Redshift in place of HBASE in cloudera? I would like to reduce the number of my static nodes that are required to stay up 24x7 and reduce my EBS storage costs

Does Cloudera offer the capability to connect to external NO-SQL DB's for queries / storage?

This would allow me to scale a much faster solution and not be limited to my attached EBS volumes and scale with ease.

Thanks!

I do see Redshift has an API. If you can write applications that run on CDH
to read and write from Redshift, it should still work but there's no direct
support provided by Cloudera for Redshift itself.
